UGH!!!
I have been puking since yesterday. Yikes, I feel as though nothing is helping. I take my diclectin, which doesn't do much but put me to sleep and then once the drowsiness is over, I wake up and start gagging and barfing again. Anyone have any secrets to help deal with this sickness?

Trust me, I wish I had secrets for you. Talk to your doctor. Other than that, you just need patience and a supportive husband.

At least if you feel that sick, you can be pretty sure that everything is going well right now. It also means you have LOTS of the hormones you need to keep this baby healthy.

Believe it or not lemons helped with all of my pregnancies. I would cut them in half, take out the seeds, salt them and then suck on them. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I also ate jolly ranchers anything sour that I could suck on. Good luck!! Have you told the family yet?? When is your sil due??

someone told me that ginger is a natural thing to help end the pukies... so try ginger ale, crystalized ginger (check the spice section at the grocery store), and preggo pops... they sell them at babies r us here in the US... if you can find those let me know and I will mail ya some!!

I tried almost all of the above, except for the lemons. I will keep that one in mind for the next time!!!

Stay away from ginger. I have horrible morning sickness and ginger has been linked with miscarriages. In small amounts - I am sure it wouldn't hurt, but I never went near it.

I ended up on medication to help control the hypermesis. Let me know if you would like the names. Also, I munched continously all day to prevent stomach upset and wasn't able to drink milk or juice - instant gagging foods. I think it is different for everyone. Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry... can't help. I actually found that once I barfed, I felt alot better. It was the trying not to puke that was the horrible stage...

Ummm... your SIL has TEN KIDS??!

I'm on Diclectin, too, and believe me. If I had any words of advice, I'd be taking them myself! I took another sick day today, and I am out of sick time. This pregnancy is going to make me broke!
