Need some Advice...

Ok fellow bloggers, needing advice again.

My little chubba baby has such huge fat rolls everywhere. Well with her neck her rolls are always in the way. Now with all this damn humidity that we are having, her neck under her 3rd friggen roll is reddened. It just looks awful. After her bath I swear I have to fight her to put her neck back a bit so I can dry it all off because I'm sure that's the cause. Anywho, just wondering what the heck I can do to make it go away. I'm sure the best cure is drying the area out, but HOW when this kid is always scrunched up and won't tip her head back for any length of time. Even when I lay her on her back the area is still all covered in rolls. LOL. Poor little girl. It just looks sore.

Oh Emma... we have had this problem so much with Randie and I have the cure for you hopefully..

What we did was tackle her down, try and straighten her fat neck rolls out and put diaper rash cream on the redness.. it doesnt take too long to clear it up. we also put powder on it after her baths..

I was going to say to use powder too. Huggies makes a liquid powder that works really well on baby bottoms, so it might work on baby fat rolls too.

Yep, I know what you mean. Powder works for us. I didn't know about the liquid powder, but I've been using cornstarch powder on her thigh rolls and it has worked great. I haven't tried it yet on the neck because this morning is the first time I've noticed any bit of redness. But, that was because she had spit up in her sleep and it was irritated...

don't use cornstarch... they told us in the hospital that it can start a yeast infection... the stuff feeds off of it... so use just normal powder... and that liquid powder from huggies is nice... but it is hard to find sometimes... none of the stores carried it in my area of PA... but my mom was able to find it at her wal-mart in Indiana...

I have a feeling that I won't be able to find liquid powder here in my small little Canadian community. I've never heard of it, actually.

But I tried the whole diaper cream thing after I read the posts. I thought of it, since it clears her butt up quick, but never knew of anyone trying it, so since you've used it (tonya) i put a small bit on her neck.

That should clear it up Emma..

Oh and the liquid powder.. you can get it in Canada. I believe it is a huggies product but just a warning.. I personally wouldnt use it. We had a bottle of it but after I seen what it did to a friends baby I stopped.

Obviously chas has not had a problem but be careful. My friend put it on her babys bum and about an hour later she started to cry.. this went on for awhile and she could not figure out what was wrong with her.. anyway.. in the end when she went to change her diaper again she had a few cuts on her bottom and quite a large cut on her private area.. bits of the liquid powder were in her diaper with the blood and it was sharp like glass.. she contacted huggies and told them what had happened. Dont know what happened after that but we threw ours out!

We have the same problem. Sometimes at night, when I bathe her, there is dried spit up in her deepest roll from earlier in the day. I feel awful! I have been putting baby lotion in her creases. Maybe I'll try the powder too.

I have the same issue with Ainsley. I just hold her down a few times a day and clean it out. (She spits up a ton and milk just kind of ends up in those rolls. Ew!)

OY! I thought little E was the only baby with 4 rolls on her neck! Lately they stink like sour milk and are starting to get super red. I keep washing the rolls...but they still are a little stinky. Today I tried a little powder, maybe I'll try some butt cream later!
